Form as dramatic construction
Opera, large orchestra, voice and chamber music within a language in which tradition, flamenco and contemporary procedures act as a single material.
Musical language
Martín-Jaime's music is grounded in a conscious relationship with the symphonic and operatic tradition, while avoiding both historicist restoration and rupture turned into formula.
Flamenco appears as rhythmic thought, melodic inflection, energy and cultural memory; contemporary procedures expand the perception of time, timbre and tension.
